Independent fashion designer Bai Peng just opened his first space on Ceramic 1 Street 798 in a rather picturesque warehouse that I think may just be the most attractive boutique in Beijing besides Wuhao.

Summer might be wrapping up, but daytime in Beijing can still be quite hot.

Many of my pals, like Queenie, were at the Meridian party. It’s nice that I often get to take care of the invitation lists for events. I took most of the photos in an empty room to the side of the main venue space. Right north of the art museum in Dongcheng District, this would be a great space for fashion events.

She and I were attending the launch party of Meridian, an event intended to introduce this new organization to the Beijing creative community and to celebrate the publication of their first illustrated children’s books.
A well-known stylist, photographer, and general provocateur, US-based Zoetica Ebb just touched down in Beijing. I am excited to be working with her and the Frei Group on creating the Secret Guide to Alternative Beijing.

Joining Jam Bar as part of the new fleamarket mini-trend, School Bar in Wudaoying Hutong hosted their first event this past Saturday. I came a little late and the vendors had already started packing up but I was lucky to meet lovely Claire on their breezy upstairs terrace.
