Photographed two years ago on Stylites, Cecaa’s brand, Mon Cheri, has recently grown into something more major. He was at the Initial Fashion opening party. The first shop of this Hong Kong brand in Beijing is on tourist-overrun Nanluoguxiang, a somewhat unexpected location for such a hip shop.

Beijinger Kim likes to dress funky for his job at Japanese Brand MerciBeaucoup, but he also told me he wouldn’t mind wearing his stripey outfit outside the store.

In Burberry
Many people were wearing the latest threads from Burberry. The Vogue EIC Angelica Cheung was wearing the exact same coat that night.
Many items seemed to be from the now available Spring 2011 collection, the theme of which was “heritage biker”. For this collection, designer Christopher Bailey was inspired by biker gear created by Thomas Burberry in the early 1900s. We will try to find out how many of these items are purchased at the full Mainland price. For the time being, have a look at this piece our friends at JingDaily have on the price discrepancy between the Mainland and abroad.

After Septwolves七匹狼之åŽ
This dandyish individual was quite unimpressed by the Septwolves show. Click here for pictures of all the looks. Several editors I spoke with nearby were also very negative, saying if they were going to copy Western shows, the Fujian-based brand should have at least copied well.

Visiting from HK, Jimmy is one of the top designers of Izzue, a falgship brand for Hong Kong’s massive I.T. group. Izzue is expanding rapidly in China, and has outlets in Thailand, Malaysia, Macau, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia.
Jimmy is know for his often gothic-influenced, edgy, very androgynous designs for both men and women. London, where he studied fashion, is also a key influence. We will have a longer interview with Jimmy here next time he comes to Beijing.
